Summer Report

The last time I had added to my journaling was in the beginning of summer. A lot has changed since then. Annie had to leave us for now as she is helping family members with healing, (But she is covering for Allison on Thursday, September 14.) We had our 2 nd annual Festival of Mystics. Last year it was in august, and this year it was in July. Although we had a lot of fun, there wasn’t as big of a turn out this year. So next year I will return it to August. See our anniversary to our opening was July 6, but our anniversary to our Grand Opening was August 13. Either way we have made it 2 years with your help. To celebrate, I went out and got an expansion loan. You know how a lot of you ladies were hoping I would get more stone cabochon jewelry in… Well I created a whole new jewelry department. Because I know we all live in abundance, I blew my budget. The loan included a new computer system so now when I check you all out, I do not have to write it on one pad and then enter it into an old cash register and staple 2 receipts together, then enter it into my inventory the next day. Now it is all on a shiny new computer. I can even print out gift receipts. It is so exciting! I know... I know… I am easily amused. My moldavite jewelry that I ordered has just come in along with some tingshas and other fund stuff!

We have 2 new readers this summer, Tamara and Carrie. You can read their bios and see their photos here. I am so impressed by the quality of readers we have here. I know Spirit picks them and sends them to us at the right time. We are now open on Sundays, so come on in and see Carrie.

Two weeks ago, we had our weekend at Harmony Grove. Friday night was a Basic Spirit Communication Workshop. There were a lot of first timers and one of my students, Ashley, whom I hadn’t seen for months because of her surgeries. We had a great time and the circles went so smoothly that we finished a little early, so Ashley and I went around and gave brief Spirit greetings and messages to everyone present. Tony really stepped into his Ministry by leading the Healing Services both Saturday and Sunday. Students from my healing class (Keeta, Jan, & Judi) worked the healing stools and were divine channels of that energy both days. I am so proud of them. Speaking of being proud of students, after my sermons at church services Saturday and Sunday, Tamara, Jan, Keeta, and Janelle all gave messages from platform. That can be intimidating the first time at the head of the church looking at all those people and all those pews. Not only were they right on target with their messages, but they were very professional and their delivery was flawless. We had 2 circles Saturday afternoon and evening. The first was a Past Life Message Circle in which I was joined by Phoebe Welburn. It was so great working with her like that. I would start and get part of a life and she would jump in and get the rest, then we would both bring it forward and get the Karmic issue attached in this life for clarification. Hey Phoebe, if I forget to tell you… I had great feedback for you! The second was a Medium’s Message Circle where I was joined with Tamara Szewczyk and we brought through loved ones and gave messages to 15 people. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to have the big drum circle planned on Sunday after services, but we still had fun walking the labyrinth, singing, dancing and beating the few drums we did in a closing celebration.

Tony’s Friday Meditation has become very popular. Last week there were 15 people. Just think that in the beginning there were only 1 or 2. It is so cool to see people flourish.

As we are heading into fall, I am excited to have my schedule get back to normal. My Intermediate Spirit Communication Class is graduating in 3 weeks. For most of my students, this graduation will be the final one with me. I always try to stress the importance of having as many teachers as possible, and now it is coming time for me to kick my birds out of my nest and have them fly on their own or find new teachers. I think that is so cool, whether they study here with the others that I have or move on to other schools. It isn’t quite over yet, but I am so happy for them and the commitment they have made to themselves and Spirit. I will be having an advanced group where we will be doing trance channel work and other physical mediumship, but not all will continue, and that is more of a study group than an actual class.

Allison has really stepped into her power as a facilitator, teacher and reader. Her classes tend to be full and they always want to continue. Oh! Oh! Oh! I can’t wait until October! We hare having 2 Séances and a Witch’s Samhain Ceremony for Halloween! (Not all in one night.) Last year we had to turn people away, so be sure to get your reservation in early.

This is becoming a ramble, so next time I’ll pick one topic and go with it!
