As the Table Tips II

Sometimes, okay maybe a lot of times, owning a business in this field is a little like being in a soap opera. There are tragedies to be healed, inner battles to be won, ethics and legalities to be questioned, boundaries to be set, love to be given, and happy endings to be found. This last week has been a very busy one for me with all of the séances and Halloween events. I have asked to step forward in my personal growth and am reaping the rewards for my intent. Some would say that it is wrong for me to talk about being rewarded. I disagree. I think it is important to acknowledge Spirit when new energies coalesce into what we have set out to manifest. I did table tipping 3-times this last week. I have been working on my light trance channeling and I feel good about my progress. It has been almost 3-years since I have worked on my personal Spiritual growth instead of only for others and the store. I am feeling good. I am growing in a positive way. I believe that this is the time for me to have a growth spurt so when my husband, Tony, goes in for his knee replacement surgery on the other knee in January, I have new energy to work with for his healing and the strength of the family and the store.

When I last left you, I was writing about change and the struggles we have in the middle of it. Now that I am out of the uncomfortable stages from the end of October to the middle of November, I can reach for and see the positive aspect and be grateful once again for Spirit taking care of things. Tamara needs more day time hours for home schooling her children so she is giving her notice. You will also find her twice a month in Ocean Beach at the Tree of Life Bookstore. Felice is unable to continue reading due to some personal scheduling issues, but he will still be here to collaborate with the Healing of the Sacral workshops we have scheduled in December and will be doing more workshop and advanced classes in the New Year

It was funny. I never panicked about who was going to be here. I sent out an e-mail and I have now hired 2 more wonderful Mystics. Just like that! One, Allorah, has been a professional reader for years. She just walked in one day and said one of my clients had a reading with her and referred her to me. I love her energy and she does light trance channel with her guides to get you information. You can meet her at the Psychic Fair (see below*) on 12/9 but she has to leave by 2:00 that day.

The other, Jan McArthur, has been studying for many years, the last one with me. I personally think she is brilliant. One of the cool things about Jan is she has a similar public/motivational speaking background as I do. She is already putting together a class for January called Spirituality Simplified.

Now for the God story with the name of that class. Jan and I were talking about several different possibilities, such as Spirituality 101, Basic Spirituality, etc., but since one of the main reference books she is using is Spirituality Simplified by Jeff Maziarek we decided to call to see if there was any way we could use it. So I go to the website noted on the back of the book and find an 800 number. After about 2 rings Mr. Maziarek himself answers the phone. Not only was he very personable and extremely generous with us being able to use the name, but he also offered and sent some of his personal power point presentation on the subject. Wow!!! In this day and age where spirituality and has become trademarked and corporations have the last word, it is really great to see someone walk their spiritual talk! I was so impressed that I immediately told the client that was in the store about him and the fact that it is the one book I strongly suggest all my students read. Of course, she bought the book right then. That is the law of abundance and the law of cause and effect right there! What a smart man! I still have 3 in stock now, and will have to order many more for both Jan’s class and my Basic Spirit Communication class starting in the middle of January.

*There will be two things changing in January. The first is Tony will be having knee replacement surgery on the fifth. That means his Friday night meditation will be on hold for around 2 months until he has recovered. So if you have wanted to come, make it this month. The other is that with the continued increase of costs of doing business, we will be raising our Psychic Fair fees to $20/15-minute reading as of January 13, 2007. This is still a savings of $8 over our regular rates and we will still have store sales on those days. We will still have free laying on of hands for healing as a community giveback, and a discussion group will also be starting on a donation basis.

A new artist from Encinitas brought in these GREAT crystal ball mobiles. Wow! You have to see them. We have so many NEW books, so many NEW fun things. Come on in and play!
